About Me

Hi, I am Ujjwal Shukla, a Technical Product Manager focused on building AI native products that combine APIs, data systems, and intelligent models to solve real user problems. Over the past 3+ years, I have worked across B2B SaaS and B2C products in fast paced startup environments ranging from bootstrapped teams to Series A companies, leading end to end product development from ideation to scale. My work has contributed to scaling a product to more than 75,000 users and building platforms currently generating over $650K+ in annual recurring revenue.

My background combines strong analytical training with hands on product execution. I hold an MBA from IIT Kanpur and a B.Tech from IET Lucknow, and over the past few years I have built deep expertise in designing AI native product workflows that integrate large language models, retrieval systems, APIs, and data infrastructure to automate complex user problems.

Currently, I work at an API first product company where I design and test scalable APIs, define API contracts, analyze product usage using Mixpanel event data, and collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to deliver reliable and high impact products. My work sits at the intersection of product strategy, technical architecture, and user experience, ensuring that products are not only well built but also deliver measurable value to users and the business.

I have worked extensively on data and AI driven product initiatives, including the development and launch of the Social Screening product which leverages retrieval augmented generation, vector embeddings, and semantic intelligence to automate large scale content verification and insight generation. I have also built independent AI prototypes exploring workflows such as AI based capability evaluation, conversational discovery systems, and AI driven product interfaces.

My work increasingly focuses on designing AI powered product systems that combine:

• Large Language Models (LLMs): Building AI powered workflows that use LLM reasoning for classification, structured evaluation, and automated decision making.
• Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG): Designing systems where LLM outputs are grounded in database retrieval and vector search to prevent hallucination and ensure reliable outputs.
• AI Agents and Workflow Automation: Exploring agent driven systems that orchestrate multi step workflows using LLMs, APIs, and structured tools.

At NeenOpal Intelligent Solutions, I worked on analytics driven consulting and SaaS initiatives where I helped translate data insights into product and business decisions for enterprise clients. My role involved working closely with stakeholders to identify analytical opportunities, defining product requirements, and using SQL and BI tools to analyze large datasets and build dashboards. This experience strengthened my ability to use data to guide product strategy, identify optimization opportunities, and drive measurable business outcomes.

Currently at Phyllo, I work on API first products that enable secure access to creator economy data across multiple platforms. As a Product Manager, I collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to define API contracts, design scalable integrations, and ensure high quality developer experiences. I also work extensively with product analytics using SQL and Mixpanel to analyze user behavior, debug product workflows, and optimize key product funnels.

In addition to core API platform development, I have also worked on building AI driven product capabilities such as a content screening model designed to automate large scale creator content verification and risk analysis. The system leverages retrieval augmented generation, vector embeddings, and semantic intelligence to analyze social content and identify potential risks or policy violations. My role involved defining product requirements, designing the evaluation workflow, and collaborating closely with engineering teams to integrate AI models with scalable APIs and data infrastructure. Through this work, I focused on building reliable AI powered product workflows that combine machine intelligence with structured data systems to solve complex real world problems.
